Colored Pencil Press takes children’s privacy extremely seriously. Our products are made for children, but our website and ordering process are intended for adults only. We follow the principles of the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and general best practices for safeguarding children’s data in Canada and the United States.
1. Who Can Submit Information
We do not allow children under 13 to create accounts, submit forms, or upload content.
All personalized book orders must be submitted by a parent, guardian, or authorized adult.
2. What Child Information We Collect (Provided by Adults Only)
To create a personalized storybook, adults may provide:
1 – Child’s first name (required)
2 – Child’s age (optional)
3- Child’s interests or favorite themes
4 – Hair/eye/skin description (for illustration)
5 – A photo of the child (optional)
6 – Dedication message
7 – Shipping/address details (parent or guardian only)
We collect only the information necessary to create the personalized product.
Child-related information is used solely to produce the personalized book you ordered.
We do not:
1 -Share children’s information with advertisers
2 – Use children’s information for analytics
3 – Display children’s information publicly
4 – Sell or redistribute children’s information in any way
5 – Photos are converted into illustrated characters and then deleted according to our retention policy.
4. How Long Child Information Is Kept
1 – Photos → Deleted after your book is produced, unless you ask us to save them for future orders.
2 – Story details (name/age/theme) → Kept only as long as needed for customer service or reprints.
3 – Child data is never kept permanently unless you request a saved profile for convenience.
You may contact us at any time to request deletion of all child-related data.
5. Parent Access and Control
Parents and guardians may:
1 – Request a copy of any child-related data
2 – Ask us to correct information
3 – Request immediate deletion of all child data
4 – Withdraw consent at any time

6. No Direct Marketing to Children
We do not knowingly contact or market to children.
All communication (email, phone, messages) is directed only to the adult placing the order.
